Simple exercises to make progress

The different positions

Warm-ups and stretches

To begin the session, start pedalling on your aquabike while stretching your arms upwards, downwards, to the sides, forwards, and backwards. Slowly turn your head to the right, then to the left... You are ready!

Relaxation

Sport or comfort handlebar mode: this movement lets you start gently, gradually engaging your thigh muscles. Alternate between pedalling forwards and backwards. Remember to breathe deeply.

Rowing motion

Sit comfortably on the saddle of your aquabike, pedal at a steady pace, release the handlebars and move your arms to the sides to draw the water towards you, then reverse the motion to push the water away!

Dancer

Sport mode handlebars. Picture yourself climbing a hill, standing on the pedals, gently swaying, increasing your pace, then slowing down for recovery intervals.

Cycling / sprint

Sport mode handlebars. Experience the sensation of a race or a sprint by leaning forward on the handlebars, hands on the grips, and forearms resting on the bar. Then pick up the pace!

Alternate between sitting on the saddle and lifting your hips off the seat.

Endurance

Choose between sport or comfort handlebar mode. Seated on the saddle, hands on the handlebars, pedal as fast as you can for several minutes, then follow with a sprint, and finish in standing position.

Sit back down on the saddle, return to a slow pace, pedal gently, then, while continuing to pedal, move slightly forward towards the handlebars, maintaining a seated position but just off the saddle.

Stroll mode

With the comfort handlebar and a comfortable seat, pedal at your own pace and enjoy the benefits of water for your legs.

With the Lovee resistance band

If you have a training resistance band (Resistance Tube Accessory): place your resistance tube at the front, under the handlebar adjustment knob to secure it, or under the crank bar of the aquabike, and perform arm exercises while pedalling.
